By January 31, 2026: Billing team must stop using CPT code 80050 for all Health Net plans and update billing software to use individual lab codes instead: 85003 (comprehensive metabolic panel), 85025/85027 (complete blood count), and 84443 (thyroid stimulating hormone). Update encounter forms and train staff. Claims submitted with CPT 80050 after January 31, 2026 will be automatically denied.
