Beginning March 1, 2025, Ohio Medicaid (CareSource) will implement Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) claims processing changes in seven phases. Home health providers must match all EVV claims to visit records starting March 1, 2025; other providers begin June 1, 2025. Claims for specific service codes without matching EVV records will be denied.

Action Required

Action needed
By June 1, 2025: Billing team must implement EVV matching requirements in the billing system for claims using codes G0151, G0152, G0153, G0156, G0299, G0300, T1000, and T1001. Verify that all submitted claims for these codes have corresponding EVV visit records in CareSource's system before submission. Update billing workflows and staff training to require EVV verification prior to claim submission. Failure to match claims with EVV records will result in automatic claim denials. Immediately: Review ODM EVV Homepage for complete program details and phase-in schedule. Contact CareSource Provider Services at 1-800-488-0134 with implementation questions.
