Immediately: Billing team must establish process to notify Beacon Health Options of all behavioral health admissions and discharges for inpatient and intermediate levels of care. Update billing workflow to ensure notifications are completed before claim submission. Train staff that failure to notify will result in automatic claim denials requiring administrative appeals through BCBSRI.
