Action Required

Action needed
Immediately: Billing team must update electronic claim submission system to include provider taxonomy codes in PRV segments for all claim types (837I and 837P). Configure billing software to populate PRV segments with appropriate taxonomy codes for billing providers (2000A Loop), attending providers (2310A Loop), rendering providers at claim level (2310B Loop), and rendering providers at line level (2420A Loop). Contact ProviderRelations@bcbsri.org for questions. Claims without required taxonomy codes will likely be rejected.
