Action Required
By October 1, 2019: Billing team must obtain prior authorization through eviCore for all cardiology services listed in BCBSRI's Preauthorization Quick Reference Guide. Update billing workflows to check authorization requirements before scheduling cardiology procedures. Attend one of the September educational webinars (9/10, 9/12, 9/16, or 9/18) by registering at evicore.webex.com to learn the authorization process. Claims without proper authorization will be denied.
