Summary
Prior authorization for some Blue Cross Blue Shield members will transition from eviCore to AIM Specialty Health effective January 1, 2021. This affects Commercial members with BCBS Illinois, Texas, Oklahoma, Montana, New Mexico and Medicaid members with BCBS Community Centennial.
Action Required
By January 1, 2021: Billing team must transition from eviCore to AIM Specialty Health for prior authorization requests for affected BCBS members. Register for AIM ProviderPortal training at https://aimproviders.com/160/training/ and update workflow processes to submit prior auths through AIM system instead of eviCore. Contact AIM for specific service authorization requirements as benefits vary by individual policy.
