BCBS Nebraska is launching new online preauthorization features powered by Altruista Health, including auto-approvals and separate portals for inpatient vs outpatient/radiology requests. Clear Coverage options will be discontinued after December 31, 2020, and providers must use NaviNet for streamlined preauthorization submissions.
Action Required
Before December 31, 2020: Billing team must create NaviNet accounts at Nebraskablue.com/Providers/Preauthorization to replace Clear Coverage system. Learn new workflow using 'Inpatient Precertification' link for acute admissions and 'Medical/Radiology Preauthorization' for outpatient services. Out-of-area providers must use their local Host Plan portal instead of NaviNet.
