Summary
BCBSRI will administratively terminate provider agreements for providers who haven't submitted claims for one year, with terminations occurring twice yearly on August 1 and February 1. Providers receive 90-day written notice before termination and must go through standard credentialing to rejoin.

Immediately: Review claim submission history to ensure at least one claim has been submitted to BCBSRI within the past 12 months for each provider and tax ID number. Monitor for termination notices from BCBSRI and contact inactiveproviders@bcbsri.org if received but wish to remain participating. Billing team should set up quarterly reminders to verify claim submission activity for all BCBSRI participating providers to avoid future terminations.
