Summary
Effective September 1, 2021, the 42-unit limit for allergy patch testing (CPT 95044) has been removed for Medicare Advantage and commercial plans. Coverage will now follow CMS Medically Unnecessary Edits (MUEs) instead of the previous unit restrictions.
