Summary
BCBSRI is moving behavioral health utilization and case management functions from Beacon to their internal MHK system. Hospitals and behavioral health facilities must enter all BH admission and discharge notifications through MHK instead of Beacon for services starting January 1, 2022.
Action Required
Before January 1, 2022: All staff currently entering Beacon notifications must obtain access to bcbsri.com and MHK system. Contact ProviderRelations@bcbsri.org for username and access setup. Attend available training sessions (Dec 6-21, 2021) to learn how to enter behavioral health admission and discharge notifications in MHK. Switch all BH notifications from Beacon to MHK for dates of service on or after 1/1/2022.
