Summary
BCBSRI moved behavioral health utilization and case management functions in-house from Beacon Health Options effective January 1, 2022. Hospitals and behavioral health facilities must now enter admission and discharge notifications through the MHK system instead of the previous Beacon system.

Immediately: Behavioral health facilities and hospitals must register for MHK system access to enter behavioral health admission and discharge notifications. Contact ProviderRelations@bcbsri.org to obtain username and access credentials. Stop using Beacon Health Options system for BCBSRI behavioral health notifications.
