Summary
BCBSRI has moved behavioral health utilization and case management functions from Beacon Health Options to in-house operations. Hospitals and behavioral health facilities must now submit admission and discharge notifications through the MHK system instead of Beacon's previous system.
Action Required
Immediately: Behavioral health facilities and hospitals must transition from Beacon Health Options system to MHK system for all behavioral health admission and discharge notifications. Contact ProviderRelations@bcbsri.org to obtain MHK username and access credentials. Update staff workflows to use new notification system for all BCBSRI behavioral health cases.
