NYC Medicare Advantage Plus plan transitions City of New York retirees from Traditional Medicare + Supplement to Medicare Advantage PPO effective April 1, 2022. Participating Medicare Advantage PPO providers should file claims to their local Blue Plan using prefix N6Y and can verify eligibility through BlueCross BlueShield network sharing.

Beginning April 1, 2022: Billing team must file all claims for NYC Medicare Advantage Plus members to local Blue Plan using prefix N6Y. Update billing system to recognize member ID cards with MA PPO Suitcase logo. Verify eligibility through local Blue Provider Portal or by calling BlueCard Eligibility at 800-676-BLUE (2583) using prefix N6Y.
