Action Required
By April 1, 2022: Billing team must update billing software to accept and use new POS code 10 for telemedicine services (both audio/visual and telephone only). Continue using POS 02 until March 31, 2022, then switch to accurate submission of both POS 10 and POS 02 codes based on service type. Update encounter forms and train staff on proper POS code selection for telemedicine claims to ensure timely adjudication.
