Summary
BCBSRI has moved behavioral health utilization and case management functions in-house from Beacon Health Options, effective January 1, 2022. Hospitals and behavioral health facilities must now submit behavioral health admission and discharge notifications through the MHK system instead of previous processes.

Immediately: Behavioral health facilities and hospitals must register for MHK system access to submit behavioral health admission and discharge notifications. Contact ProviderRelations@bcbsri.org to obtain username and system access. Stop using previous Beacon Health Options processes for BCBSRI behavioral health cases.
