Immediately: All staff should begin using the MHK provider portal's 'View Authorizations' feature to track and manage BCBSRI authorizations. Front desk staff must validate member demographics (name spelling, DOB, member ID) exactly as they appear in BCBSRI records before submitting authorization requests. Clinical staff should add discharge dates and attachments directly through the portal for inpatient cases.
