Providers must ensure all practice addresses, contact information, and specialties are current and accurate, and must certify the updated information in NPPES.
Action Required
Immediately: All providers contracted with Medicare Advantage plans must log into NPPES to review and update provider information including name, mailing address, telephone/fax numbers, and specialty. Add all active practice locations where patients are seen and can make appointments. Remove any inactive practice locations. After updating, providers must certify the information as accurate in NPPES. Administrative staff should coordinate with providers to ensure compliance.
