Summary
CMS requires all providers participating in D-SNP (Dual Special Needs Plans) to complete mandatory annual Model of Care training by March 31, 2024. BCBSRI is offering multiple training sessions in November 2023 and alternative completion methods including independent review with attestation.
Action Required
By March 31, 2024: All providers (not billing staff) participating in D-SNP must personally complete CMS-required Model of Care training. Providers can attend one of the scheduled BCBSRI Microsoft Teams sessions in November 2023, independently review PowerPoint materials and submit D-SNP Provider Attestation Form, or request personalized training by emailing ProviderRelations@bcbsri.org. Training cannot be delegated and must be completed by providers themselves to maintain D-SNP participation.
