We identified it

Summary
Effective January 1, 2024, Blue RI D-SNP members will receive new ID cards that no longer display copays or coinsurance amounts. D-SNP members continue to have 20% coinsurance on PCP visits (excluding annual physical), X-rays, specialist visits, and Part B DME supplies, which must be billed to Medicaid.
Action Required
By January 1, 2024: Billing team must update workflows to bill all D-SNP coinsurance amounts (20% for PCP visits, X-rays, specialist visits, and Part B DME) directly to Medicaid instead of collecting from patients. If not credentialed as Medicaid provider, cannot bill members for coinsurance amounts. Update front desk staff training since new ID cards will not show copay/coinsurance amounts.
