eviCore is transitioning BCBSRI's prior authorization portal for high-end radiology, cardiology, and spine surgery services from their current system to the Carecore National portal, effective February 1, 2024. Providers will still access through bcbsri.com login but will be redirected to the new Carecore National portal for authorization requests.
Action Required
Before February 1, 2024: Billing team and providers must register for eviCore training webinars at http://eviCore.webex.com to learn the new Carecore National portal for high-end radiology, cardiology, and spine surgery prior authorizations. Choose appropriate training session (Radiology/Cardiology or Spine Surgery) and update staff workflows to use new portal interface while maintaining bcbsri.com login access.
