Summary
eviCore is transitioning their prior authorization portal to Carecore National effective March 1, 2024, for BCBSRI Medicare Advantage radiology, cardiology, and spine surgery authorizations. Providers will still access through bcbsri.com login but will be seamlessly redirected to the new Carecore National portal.
Action Required
Before March 1, 2024: Providers and billing staff who handle radiology, cardiology, or spine surgery prior authorizations for BCBSRI Medicare Advantage members must register for eviCore training webinars at http://eviCore.webex.com. Select appropriate training session (Radiology/Cardiology or Spine Surgery) to learn the new Carecore National portal workflow. Update staff procedures to expect redirection to Carecore National when accessing authorizations through bcbsri.com login.
