Small offices can submit claims directly while larger offices can continue using clearinghouses, and corrected claims will only be accepted if the original was submitted through the portal.

By January 2024: Billing team should contact BCBSRI Provider Relations using the provided form to schedule training on the new online portal. Small practices should prepare to transition claim submission to bcbsri.com. Large practices using clearinghouses can continue current processes but should learn the portal for adjustments and appeals. All offices must use the portal for claim adjustments and appeals going forward.
