Summary
Due to a system delay, CPT codes 93228 and 93229 for Mobile Outpatient Cardiac Telemetry (MCOT) cannot be authorized through the MHK Portal until March 7, 2024. Providers must fax authorization requests to the UM department during this temporary period.
Action Required
From March 1-7, 2024: Billing team must fax all MCOT authorization requests for CPT 93228 and 93229 to UM department at 401-272-8885 instead of using MHK Portal. Resume normal portal authorization process after March 7, 2024. Without proper authorization, claims will be denied.
