Immediately: Front desk staff must check bcbsri.com provider portal for all BCBS RI members by selecting 'Patient Eligibility' and entering member information. If no 'Pharmacy Benefits' tab appears, ask the member for their separate RX card to identify their pharmacy benefits provider. Update patient intake procedures to include this pharmacy benefit verification step.
