Summary
BCBSRI has launched a new Behavioral Health Case Management Program staffed by mental health and substance use professionals. Providers can refer patients for care coordination and social determinant support by calling 1-800-274-2958, emailing triage_group@bcbsri.org, or using an automated referral form on the BCBSRI provider portal.
Action Required
By April 1, 2025: Front desk and clinical staff should update patient referral procedures to include the new BCBSRI Behavioral Health Case Management program. Add referral contact information (1-800-274-2958 and triage_group@bcbsri.org) to desk reference materials. Train staff on accessing the automated referral form through the BCBSRI provider portal under Tools and Resources > Forms > Case Management Request.
