BCBSRI is reminding providers to review and update their information in the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) including practice addresses, contact information, and specialties. Providers must certify the accuracy of their updated information in NPPES.
Action Required
By April 1, 2025: All providers must log into NPPES to review and update practice information including provider name, mailing address, telephone/fax numbers, and specialty. Add all active practice locations where patients are seen and can schedule appointments. Remove inactive practice locations. After updating, providers must certify the information is accurate in NPPES.
