BCBSRI will begin publishing provider race and ethnicity information in their Find a Doctor directory on bcbsri.com as part of their pursuit of NCQA Health Equity Accreditation. This information is obtained from voluntary disclosures in the CAQH database and will be displayed alongside existing provider language information.
Action Required
By July 1, 2025: Providers should review and update their race and ethnicity information in the CAQH database if they wish to participate in BCBSRI's provider directory enhancement. This is voluntary disclosure only - no billing or claims processing changes required.
