Summary

Anthem Ohio Medicaid (MyCare Ohio) has updated electronic payment options for Home & Community Based Services (HCBS) providers, strongly encouraging enrollment in Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to eliminate credit card processing fees and improve payment speed. Providers currently receiving Virtual Credit Card (VCC) payments can opt out by enrolling in EFT or requesting paper checks through Comdata.

Action Required

Action needed
By May 17, 2026: HCBS provider billing teams must review current payment method settings in their Anthem accounts. If currently receiving VCC payments and processing credit card fees, initiate EFT enrollment at https://enrollsafe.payeehub.org (using TIN-level enrollment if applicable, no NPI required). If unable to enroll in EFT immediately, contact Comdata at 800-833-7130 to request paper check payments instead of VCC to avoid unnecessary processing fees. Document enrollment completion or opt-out request in billing records. For enrollment support, contact support@payeehub.org. Failure to act may result in continued VCC payment receipts and associated credit card processing fees that reduce reimbursement.
