Summary
BCBSRI has been selected for a CMS Risk Adjustment Data Validation (RADV) audit for 2018 dates of service and will undergo additional audits for 2019-2023 by January 2026. BCBSRI has contracted with Datavant and Sharecare to retrieve medical records for Medicare Advantage patients and is requesting providers deliver requested medical records within two weeks of receipt.

Within two weeks of receiving a medical records request: Billing team and medical records staff must promptly provide requested medical records for BCBSRI Medicare Advantage patients to Datavant and Sharecare to meet CMS audit deadlines.
