Starting September 1, all outpatient prior authorization requests for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming must be submitted through the Availity portal, with exceptions only for transplant services and intensive outpatient psychiatric/substance abuse services. By September 1, 2024: Billing team must transition all outpatient prior authorization submissions to the Availity portal for BCBSWY patients. Exceptions: Continue using current process for transplant services and intensive outpatient psychiatric/substance abuse services. Staff should complete the recorded webinar training available through Availity Portal. Update workflow procedures to route all other outpatient prior auths through Availity system.
