Summary
BCBS Wyoming has updated place of service codes for telemedicine with new POS 10 for home-based telehealth starting January 1st, and discontinued COVID-19 cost-share waivers effective January 1, 2022. Claims with POS 10 will be accepted but processed after a late January system update.
Action Required
By January 1, 2022: Billing team must update telehealth claims to use POS 02 for telehealth services outside patient's home and POS 10 for telehealth services in patient's home. Note that POS 10 claims will be accepted but processed after late January system update. For eligibility inquiries before January 22, 2022, call Provider Support at 888-359-6592 if POS 10 generates errors. Update patient billing to include cost-sharing for COVID-19 treatment as waivers are discontinued.
