Summary
Effective January 1, 2026, all claims submitted to WyoBlue Advantage must include a valid taxonomy code or they will be automatically rejected. This applies to all claims including those with rendering providers, with no grace period after the effective date.
Action Required
Before January 1, 2026: Billing team must update billing software and systems to ensure all WyoBlue Advantage claims include valid taxonomy codes. Update claim submission processes to automatically populate taxonomy codes based on provider specialty and service type. Train staff on selecting appropriate taxonomy codes when providers have multiple specialties. Test systems before go-live date. Claims without taxonomy codes will be automatically rejected after January 1, 2026.
