Summary
Effective January 23, 2026, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota requires providers to check a confirmation box acknowledging they have read and understood the PA Checkpoint disclaimer before using the prior authorization tool on the BCBSND website. This is a new mandatory step in the prior authorization workflow.
Action Required
By January 23, 2026: All staff using the PA Checkpoint Prior Authorization tool on www.bcbsnd.com must check the confirmation box acknowledging they have read and understood the disclaimer before proceeding with prior authorization requests. Train all billing and clinical staff on this new required step. Note that Availity users are not affected at this time but should watch for future updates.
