Summary
Effective March 14, 2026, Anthem Georgia's 835 Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) will display both the submitted procedure code and the adjudicated (allowable) procedure code for inclusive (non-separately payable) service lines. This change helps billing teams reconcile claims by identifying which allowable service an inclusive line is bundled into, improving claim review and follow-up processes.
Action Required
By March 14, 2026: Billing team must update ERA reconciliation and claims review procedures to account for dual procedure code display (submitted vs. adjudicated) in Loop 2110 of 835 remittances. Ensure staff understand that the adjudicated code (SVC01) represents the allowable service to which inclusive lines are bundled. If not currently enrolled in ERA through Availity Essentials, enroll immediately at https://Availity.com to receive the updated 835 format. Train billing and claims review staff on interpreting the new dual-code display to prevent confusion and improve accuracy in identifying bundled/inclusive services. Contact Availity Client Services at 800-282-4548 if enrollment assistance is needed.
