Summary
Blue Cross Vermont is eliminating paper checks effective October 1, 2026, requiring all providers to enroll in Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) for payment. Multiple other policy changes are also taking effect including new NDC requirements for certain claims starting July 3, 2026, and maternity care coding changes effective January 1, 2027.
Action Required
By October 1, 2026: All providers must enroll in Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) through PayeeHub to continue receiving payments - paper checks will no longer be issued. Call (877) 882-0384 or contact providerrelations@bcbsvt.com for enrollment help. By July 3, 2026: Update billing system to include NDC, Unit of Measure, and Quantity for specific HCPCS services or claims will be denied. By January 1, 2027: Stop using global maternity codes and implement new CPT codes for maternity care - global codes will be denied after this date.
