Summary
Blue Cross VT issued multiple policy updates effective at various dates, including mandatory transition to Electronic Fund Transfer payments by October 1, 2026, archiving of Nutritional Counseling policies effective August 1, 2026, and new NDC requirements for certain services starting July 3, 2026. Most significantly for billing operations, paper checks will be discontinued and claims for certain services will be denied without proper NDC, Unit of Measure, and Quantity reporting.
Action Required
IMMEDIATE: Sign up for Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) before October 1, 2026 by calling PayeeHub Customer Care at (877) 882-0384 or contacting Provider Relations. By July 3, 2026: Update billing system to require NDC, Unit of Measure, and Quantity for all HCPCS services on the specified list. Review and implement new Medical Nutrition Therapy and Nutritional Counseling policies by August 1, 2026. Complete CAA Provider Directory Validation within 30 days when received quarterly or face claim denials starting September 1, 2026.
