Summary
IHCP is removing hospital lock-in requirements from the Right Choices Program effective April 30, 2020. RCP members will no longer need referrals to use any hospital facility, and hospital claims will not be denied for lock-in reasons after this date.
Action Required
By April 30, 2020: Billing team should update workflows to remove hospital lock-in verification steps for Right Choices Program members. Hospital claims with dates of service on or after April 30, 2020 will not be subject to lock-in edit 2603 or EOB 7502. Verify RCP member eligibility will no longer show hospital lock-in information for services after this date.
