Summary
Indiana Medicaid is extending the timely filing limit to May 31, 2020 for certain A&D HCBS case management claims (T2022 with U7 modifier) that were incorrectly denied due to a system issue. Previously denied claims with dates of service from January 1, 2019 onward can be resubmitted for payment consideration.
Action Required
By May 31, 2020: Billing team should identify and resubmit previously denied claims for A&D HCBS case management services using HCPCS code T2022 with modifier U7 for dates of service from January 1, 2019 onward. Include a copy of bulletin BT202025 as an attachment when resubmitting beyond the normal 180-day timely filing limit.
