Summary

Within 60 days of receiving TPL notifications: Billing team must bill the identified primary insurance carrier for flagged claims and respond to HMS. Register for HMS Provider Portal at https://hmsportal.hms.com/registration to review claims, acknowledge/dispute recovery requests, and upload documentation. If primary carrier denies claims or no coverage exists, provide denial documentation to HMS within 60 days to prevent recoupment.
