Summary
Indiana has selected four managed care entities (Anthem, MHS, MDwise, and CareSource) to serve Healthy Indiana Plan and Hoosier Healthwise members starting January 1, 2023. Providers currently contracted with existing MCEs may need to enter into new contracts with these selected entities to remain in-network.
Action Required
Before January 1, 2023: Contact each MCE directly using provided phone numbers and websites to initiate new contracting and credentialing processes. Billing team must verify network status with all four MCEs (Anthem: 800-455-6805, MHS: 877-647-4848, MDwise: 800-356-1204, CareSource: 844-607-2831) to ensure continued reimbursement for HIP and Hoosier Healthwise patients. Failure to contract may result in out-of-network status and reduced reimbursement.
