Summary
Starting May 1, 2026, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas is launching Pharmacy Match, a new specialty pharmacy network program that will automatically match commercial members needing specialty medications with qualified in-network pharmacies. Providers must now e-prescribe specialty medications to Free Market Health Pharmacy (NPI: 1366292880) instead of directly to specialty pharmacies.

By May 1, 2026: Providers must update specialty medication prescribing workflow to e-prescribe all specialty medications to Free Market Health Pharmacy (NPI: 1366292880) instead of directly to specialty pharmacies. Contact Free Market Health at 412-755-3241, fax 833-998-4435, or email for referrals. Continue submitting prior authorization requests to BCBSTX when required. Update EMR templates and provider training materials with new pharmacy contact information.
