Summary
IHCP now allows Medicare-only providers to enroll specifically to receive reimbursement for Medicaid cost-sharing obligations for dually eligible members. These providers will be classified as type 37, specialty 370 and can only see patients with both Medicare and Medicaid coverage.
Action Required
If your practice only sees dually eligible Medicare-Medicaid patients and wants to enroll as a Medicare-only provider: Submit enrollment application through IHCP Provider Healthcare Portal or paper application as provider type 37, specialty 370. Do NOT enroll if you are already an IHCP provider or see other Medicaid-only patients.
