Summary
Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) has rescinded temporary changes that allowed presumptive eligibility applications via telephone. Effective immediately, qualified providers must complete all presumptive eligibility applications through the IHCP Provider Healthcare Portal only.
Action Required
Immediately: Stop accepting presumptive eligibility applications by telephone. All qualified providers must complete PE applications exclusively through the IHCP Provider Healthcare Portal as directed by the Presumptive Eligibility provider reference module. Front desk and eligibility verification staff should be trained on this change.
