Summary
IHCP (Indiana Medicaid) is hosting three webinars in June 2023 to discuss upcoming changes to nonemergency medical transportation (NEMT) brokerage services. Effective July 1, 2023, NEMT for nursing facility residents and nonemergency ambulance services (ALS/BLS) will be carved out from the current FFS NEMT broker, Verida.
Action Required
By June 12, 2023: Ambulance providers (specialty 260) and nursing facility providers should register for and attend the relevant IHCP webinars to understand NEMT brokerage carve-out changes. Ambulance providers should attend June 8 at 9:30 AM, nursing facility providers should attend June 8 at 11:30 AM, or all providers can attend the general session on June 12 at 1 PM.
