Action Required

Action needed
Before January 1, 2024: Billing team must verify patient's specific Indiana Medicaid plan type (HIP, CHIP, or other) to determine if copayments apply. Update billing system to collect copayments only from HIP and CHIP members, while exempting all other Indiana Medicaid programs from cost-sharing. Continue to exempt COVID-19 vaccines, testing, and treatment from all copayments through September 2024.
