Summary
Starting October 1, 2023, Indiana Medicaid (IHCP) is ending temporary provider enrollment flexibility and reinstating the requirement that all rendering providers must be linked to group practice service locations to receive payment. Claims from unlinked rendering providers will be denied with EOB code 1010.
Action Required
Before October 1, 2023: Group practices must verify all rendering providers are properly linked to their group enrollments through the IHCP Provider Healthcare Portal. Billing team should audit current provider linkages and work with practice administrators to add any missing providers to avoid claim denials with EOB code 1010. Failure to complete linkages will result in denied claims and denied prescriptions at pharmacies.
