Summary
Indiana Medicaid has established a new email notification process for deviation requests. Providers must now email dfrdeviationrequests@fssa.in.gov to notify DFR when deviation requests and documents have been mailed, while still sending physical documentation to the Marion document center.
Action Required
Immediately: Update billing workflow for Indiana Medicaid deviation requests. When submitting deviation requests for MED 1 category members in Medicaid-certified facilities or HCBS waiver recipients, billing team must: 1) Mail deviation request with EOB documentation to FSSA Document Center, P.O. Box 1810, Marion, IN 46952, and 2) Send email notification to dfrdeviationrequests@fssa.in.gov confirming deviation request was mailed. Do not send documents via email.
