Summary
CMS approved new rates for Indiana DA and DDRS home and community-based services waivers retroactive to July 1, 2023. Claims processed after October 25, 2023 will use new rates, with mass adjustments for previously submitted claims occurring November-December 2023, and providers must resubmit corrected claims within 45 days to receive higher reimbursement rates.
Action Required
By December 3, 2023 (45 days from publication): Billing team must resubmit all claims with dates of service from July 1, 2023 forward that were submitted with prior waiver rates. Include copy of first page of bulletin BT2023141 when submitting claims beyond standard filing limit. Monitor remittance advices for mass adjustments beginning November 29, 2023 with ICNs starting with 52.
