Summary
Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) now requires MSRP or cost invoice documentation for manually priced items to be no older than two years from the date of service. Claims with documentation older than two years will be denied with EOB code 6169.
Action Required
By January 7, 2024: Billing team must update procedures to ensure all MSRP or cost invoice documentation for manually priced items is within two years of the date of service before claim submission. Create workflow to verify documentation age and maintain current invoices. Claims with older documentation will be denied with EOB code 6169 and require resubmission with proper documentation.
