Summary
Indiana Medicaid (IHCP) has added coverage for COVID-19 vaccine codes 91318-91322 and updated reimbursement rates for administration code 90480 and vaccine code 91322, effective retroactively to September 11, 2023. The system will automatically mass adjust or reprocess previously denied claims, with payments appearing on remittance advices starting March 27, 2024.

No immediate action required - IHCP will automatically mass adjust or reprocess applicable claims through February 7, 2024. Starting March 27, 2024: Monitor remittance advices for adjusted claims with ICNs beginning with 52 or 80. For FQHCs and RHCs: Bill COVID-19 vaccine administration code 90480 as fee-for-service with POS code 71 (without T1015 encounter code). Vaccine codes 91318-91322 should not be billed separately for FQHCs/RHCs as payment is included in PPS rate.
